Atlas 8-40Cw Review:

Ok, it’s taken me a while to get to this model but I didn’t want to leave out this model from Atlas Models. One thing that I can count on is Atlas’s solid model construction and improvements over time

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

The model it’s self came packaged very well in the plastic packaging that we’ve come to expect for high end models. I just wonder why we have to put the front/read handrails and visors on the models? I just want to put the model down on the track and not hassle with the basic installation of these items. Second, it’s important that the two foam pads be removed from the plastic container otherwise the plastic handrails well be bent once placed back in the box and not easy to fix. I also wonder why in this day and age we have to change out the couplers to Kadees? I simply believe that they should all come with Kadees as it is the standard with most clubs.

ON THE TRACK:
A solid performer, no issues with how it runs and very little needed to be done to have this engine run other than addressing the long address.
